This community project and Social Enterprise of Thrive (formerly PFSS) aims to empower families and individuals by providing volunteer opportunities where individuals can learn employment, social and life skills and gain work experience! We work with newcomers, individuals overcoming mental health crisis as well as volunteers from various programs including disability programs, work experience programs, the Fine Options program, and volunteers doing court-mandated community service.
Volunteers gain employment references, fulfill mandated court orders, obtain volunteer reward benefits from EIA, interact with the community and so much more. Our awesome volunteers help to support community needs and by doing this we can offer a valuable service by providing affordable clothing, toys, linens & household items. All of the proceeds benefit the programs at the Resource Centre.
Thank you all for VOLUNTEERING!!

To all of our wonderful models,
The event was a great success for our first go. Thanks to everyone who lended a hand. Revenue was $5k . The volunteers were thrilled and I’ve heard many compliments on how much everyone really enjoyed the event. Plus, many people were thrilled just to learn about what we do and that we exist.
The Thrift Shop is celebrating its 30th Anniversary this year!!! We would love to hear how the store has impacted you and the community. Please call Kristy at 204-783-9281. She would love to hear your story!
